Book signing at Storrs

Author Saloma Miller Furlong will discuss and sign copies of her recently released book, "Why I Left the Amish," on March 26 at 2 p.m. at Storrs Library in Longmeadow.

In her moving memoir Furlong, who works at Amherst College, recalls her experiences as a child growing up within the Amish community and how over time she came to leave it.

She provides a compelling look behind the curtain that separates the Amish from the outside world.
