SOUTH HADLEY The South Hadley Community Theater will wrap up its summer of children's productions Aug. 9-12 with "Fairy Tale Courtroom" on the outdoor stage at Buttery Brook Park. The hour-long performances begin at 10 a.m. with a rain date being the following day. "Fairy Tale Courtroom" features the Big Bad Wolf and the Wicked Witch who are brought to trial from having frolicked from fairy tale to fairy tale wreaking havoc on the general public. As each trial unfolds, characters including Snow White, Dorothy, Sleeping Beauty, the Three Pigs, and Little Red Riding Hood step forward to provide their personal accounts of what happened in each case. The audience will serve as the jury so each trial has two endings depending on the verdict. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the performances. General admission is $5 per person with children age two and younger admitted free. A parking fee of $2 per carload will be collected at the gate. |
