LONGMEADOW A new parenting talk show is now airing on Longmeadow's public access channel, channel 8, on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and Sundays at 9 p.m.
Using a talk show format, Bill Corbett, the show's host and executive producer, addresses parenting questions, interviews parent guests, and demonstrates parenting tips for a live studio audience.
This fun and interactive monthly show aptly titled, "Creating Cooperative Kids," offers insight into general child behavior, as well as step-by-step solutions for gaining more cooperation with children 18 months to 18 years of age.
A Western Massachusetts author, speaker and parenting expert, Corbett hosts this show on rebuilding the discipline toolbox and turning today's challenging children into cooperative kids. His book, "Love, Limits & Lessons: A Parent's Guide to Raising Cooperative Kids" (in English and in Spanish) received the Parent Tested/Parent Approved award for outstanding products for 2010 (www.ptpa.org).
A portion of proceeds from the sale of his book is donated to the Network Against Domestic Abuse.
Registrations are now being accepted for 12 free studio audience seats for the next two tapings of the show, scheduled at the Cox studios in Enfield, Conn., for Monday evenings, April 18 and May 9. Due to an expected capacity attendance, advance registration is required.
