Enjoy Wild Reads at Storrs

LONGMEADOW Weekly programs for youngsters of all ages are being offered this summer at the Storrs Library in Longmeadow. Children are invited to join Wild Reads at Your Library! The Massachusetts Library Board of Commissioners, Regional Library Systems and Storrs Library sponsored reading program. Visit the Philip Michael Lauro II Discovery Room to register and pick up their reading logs. Reading throughout the summer will take them on wonderful adventures they will never forget as well as maintain their reading skills.

Some of the activities and programs that will take place from June 30 to July 3 are: Monday through Thursday, Take and Create Kits are available. Pick up your craft packet to take, make and explore at home. Youngsters of all ages can participate.

From Monday to Thursday, visit the Discovery Room and join us in our Name the Red Bellied Toads Contest, for kids of all ages. The contest will end on July 18.

Take a reading adventure with Wild Dinos, a storytime and craft program on July 1 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. This special program is for preschoolers ages two to five. Toddlers and their parents may take part in this program where our Summer Readers and the Assistant Youth Service Librarian will read stories and enjoy a craft activity.

Come to Wild Webkinz! on July 2 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Webkinz and other furry friends will meet and create fun crafts. Kids ages five and older are welcome to register.

Visit the library soon to register for the Wild Dinos Storytime program the Wild Webkinz program and to take part in Wild Reads at Your Library! reading program.

Our Wild Reads at Your Library! weekly raffle for all participants in the summer reading program will take place on July 3 at 2:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
