JCC begins music and movement program

Special needs children ages 5-12, including children with cognitive and developmental delays, Down Syndrome and autism spectrum disorders, are invited to a new movement and music class designed to promote self-esteem and enhance social, emotional and gross motor skills through participation in movement activities. Activities focus on developmental movement patterns through a combination of yoga postures, music and games.

Enrollment is limited to eight children with a child/staff ration of two or three children to one staff person. This program is held at the Springfield Jewish Community Center, 1160 Dickinson Street.
