Kids will go wild for Zoo Camp at Forest Park
Date: 7/7/2009
Looking for something fun and educational for your children to do this summer?
Why not enroll them in Zoo Camp at the Zoo in Forest Park & Education Center while we still have space!
Zoo Camp is an innovative program involving nature exploration and discovery for young people from six to 13 years of age. Campers get hands-on experience with some exotic and indigenous animals, as well as opportunities to explore nature along trails in Forest Park. Campers build an understanding of and a respect for wildlife in our lives and the role that zoos play in wildlife conversation and our environment.
At Zoo Camp, explore nature. Discover wildlife. Meet exotic creatures. Solve animal mysteries. Learn about aquatic life. Keep a nature journal. Do experiments. Hike in the forest. Identify animal tracks. Play games. Have a fun school vacation!
New in 2009 children will now be divided up into three age categories; 6-7, 8-10 and 11-13. The oldest will be involved in Animal Care and will be the new Junior Zookeepers.
