"Read Together"

Link to Libraries (LTL) has begun the 2011 - 2012 academic school year with their newest initiative to give “Read Together” bilingual literacy book bags to every child entering kindergarten in Holyoke and Springfield public schools.

Pictured are LTL Advisor Lynn Weiner of Hampden and Madison Perry, a student at Academy Hill School and Elena Chernock, both Longmeadow residents who volunteer monthly for the nonprofit.

The literacy book bags are assembled monthly at the LTL book warehouse at Rediker Software in Hampden.
