STCC offers 25th annual College for Kids

SPRINGFIELD This summer will mark the 29th anniversary of College for Kids, a Springfield Technical Community College's (STCC) summer enrichment program for children in grades two to 11.

Students will be able to enroll in a diverse range of over 50 courses including preparing for the MCAS and SAT exams, aviation, computer art, fashion design, microbiology and environmental studies, creative writing, CSI Springfield, fantastic physics, magic, engineering a castle, software development and robotics, conversational spanish, keyboard skills, drawing, painting, minds-on, hands-on math, scientific wonders, black holes and hyperspace, nature photography, sewing, art with fantastic creatures, theater that rocks, paper quilling, and many more!

Courses will take place the weeks of July 12-22 and July 26-Aug. 5.

Hundreds of children come to the STCC campus each summer to participate in the wide variety of learning opportunities designed for students in grades two to 11 and more than 5,000 children have taken part in this program since it began in 1982.

Applications are now being accepted and many courses fill up long before the start date so early enrollment is strongly recommended.
