Students can navigate college application process with consultant

LONGMEADOW - Heather Johnson, M.Ed., Educational Consultant, will be giving a talk on the college process in the Betty Ann Low Meeting Room at Richard Salter Storrs Library on Aug. 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Topics to be covered include: How to begin, how to apply, when to apply, how to start a college essay, how to make the most of your college visits, testing and financial aid basics.
Johnson is an educational consultant specializing in boarding school and college guidance. She has a M.Ed. in Educational Administration. Having spent 14 years in boarding school admission and the past few years in college placement and financial aid, she is well qualified to assist families in both the boarding school and college admission processes. She is Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, a member of the New England Association of College Admission Counselors and a member of the National Association of College Admission Counselors.
