Fifth Annual Charity Auction Set for Oct. 2

Chicopee The Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee's Fifth Annual Charity Auction is scheduled for Oct. 2. It will take place in the club's Chicopee Savings Bank Gymnasium at 580 Meadow St.

New this year is an online auction feature. Please log on to www.bgcchicopee.cmarket.com to bid. This year will also feature a mini "Taste of Chicopee" with local restaurants highlighting signature dishes.

Items available for bid include gift certificates to area restaurants; sporting event tickets; jewelry; golfers' packages; gift certificate for legal work; fitness club memberships; advertising packages; a year's worth of ice cream; two night/three days at Hilton Garden Inn; two tickets for a two-hour sunset sail aboard an America's Cup Yacht in Newport, RI; five day/four night escape to Cancun, Mexico; David Ortiz hand signed Red Sox shadowbox; David Ortiz hand-signed official Red Sox game jersey; Michael Phelps hand-signed and framed "8 Gold Medals" oversized Sports Illustrated cover poster; Tedy Bruschi signed photograph; four clubhouse tickets to a New England Revolution home game; Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa four-night stay with airfare for two; The Grandeur of Alaska aboard Celebrity Cruise Line for two people; one-night stay at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel; Tom Brady hand-signed official full size helmet with deluxe display case; whitewater rafting in Maine and much more.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and includes both a silent and live auction. Admission is free. Chicopee Savings Charitable Foundation is the auction presenting sponsor. Proceeds raised from the auction will go towards programs offered at the club. Item donations are still being accepted and a variety of sponsorship levels are available.
