news@thereminder.comCHICOPEE – Do you want a personal stylist? Amy Patt wants to bring an upscale personal service approach to women’s clothes to the Pioneer Valley and has opened G. Boutique at 212 Exchange St.
The shop had its official opening on Jan. 15.
This is Patt’s second fashion store having successfully operated another on Newbury Street in Boston. She said she has several goals in her Chicopee store, which include “marketing it to all sizes.” Her range will be from extra small to triple extra large.
She explained the customers could fill out a style sheet that has their body shape, measurements, and color preferences. This information will assist Patt in developing outfits.
If the customers sign up for a free emailed newsletter, Patt will tell them about articles of clothing she has found for them that they can try on with no obligation.
She said she is trying to change the shopping experience for woman.
“You may not know what you want,” she explained. “I’ll help you find what you want.”
Patt explained she has worked as a stylist for customers in Boston, New York City and Palm Beach, Fla.
Prom dresses will be a focus for the shop as Patt said she has “real extensive knowledge about the industry.” Her emphasis will be on offering affordable prom dresses to her customers.
While Patt will have her brick and mortar shop, she is also running the boutique business online at www.gboutique-chicopee.com.
Her other goal is to create business relationships with photographers, make-ups artists and others in the fashion business locally.
“I really think there is success in collaboration,” she said. “The best part is collaborating with local businesses.”
Patt and her husband have a second business, which prompted a move to Chicopee. She has been thinking about opening a shop for the past few months and put in together in four weeks.
It will be open from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and by appointment for private consultations.
