CHICOPEE The Hu Ke Lau will be brimming with local talent when 4u2nV takes the stage on March 3.

The group 4u2nV is made up of three friends who performed as students at both Bellamy Middle School and Chicopee High School, winning talent shows in both places. All three grew up in Chicopee.

Jimmy Lee, David Cancel, and Jon "Jay" Michael have been working together since that 7th grade talent show to perfect their music talents, and work towards signing with a major record label. All three sing on their self-titled CD Jimmy Lee and Jon Michael write most of the songs, while Lee and Cancel produce the tracks.

While they are three young men, publicist Cindy Stellato says they reject the term "boy band."

4u2nV's show at the Hu Ke Lau on March 3 follows the 7:15 p.m. Polynesian Show. Reservations must be made to see the Polynesian Show as well.

Stellato said in an e-mail that the group is waiting for responses from approximately 25 venues from Western Massachusetts to Maine for possible performances.
