CHICOPEE -- Eighteen seasons of music will be showcased by students of Holyoke Catholic High School when they present "Bits of Broadway III" at Elms College in May.

"We are very excited about the theme," Eva Stockhamer, performing arts director, said during an interview with Reminder Publications. "We wanted to perform a song from each of our past musicals because each musical is special."

Stockhamer noted that the casts and crew members work hard to present an entertaining show year after year.

"There are so many memories of the kids who performed in these shows over the years," she added.

Working behind the scenes with Stockhamer are Frances Greaney and Kurt Muraski, both crew members, Darryl Geoffrey, stage manager, assisted by Andrew Beaulieu, Dr. Frank Croke, lighting director, and Dr. Todd Rovelli, musical director, accompanied by Colin Jalbert and Samantha Dziok.

"We thought it would be a great way for students, staff, alumni and anyone who enjoys great music to spend part of their Mother's Day weekend with us," Stockhamer said.

Performers include Samantha Alves, Kelsey Barton, Christina Benigno, Hayley Bergeron, Amanda Bergstrom, Andrea Boraski, Ashley Butler, Tom Chen, Monique Desnoyers, Meghan Dumas, William "Billy" Fondakowski, Kristen Fraser, Amaris Gagnon, Bryan Garcia, Hannah Garvey, Julie Geoffrey, Joseph "Joe" Kass, Eileen Keegan, Meaghan Knightly, Mathieu Lafreniere, Allison Lefebvre, Kevin Lempke, Mary MacNeil-Blackmer, Patrick Moskal, Nathan Murphy, Mara Palma, Matt Pollette, Lexi Pronesti, Daniel "Dan" Rich, Emily Rodriguez, Mara Sobon, Liza Starzyk, Victoria "Tori" Stuetzel, Kaitlyn Swierzewski, Destiny Viarengo, Amy Vieira, Ben Viens, Rachael Wolff and Thomas "TJ" Zulch.

"Bits of Broadway III" will be staged May 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. in the Veritas Auditorium at the Elms. Tickets are $8 for mothers, seniors and students and $10 for adults.

"We think the public will love the selections we chose and there will be two surprises," Stockhamer said.
