Munich Haus re-opens beer garden after fire

news@thereminder.comCHICOPEE — The Munich Haus opened its beer garden on Sept. 19, built on the site of the former Wickles Fine Print that was adjacent to the restaurant and destroyed by fire.
Owner Patrick Gottschlict told
Reminder Publications that he hopes to keep the outdoor area open as long as he can dependent upon the weather, but added he might consider using it as a cigar bar during winter with the addition of heaters.
The beer garden features 16 beer taps, 12 of which are German brews, which Gottschlict said was the largest offering in New England.
Mayor Michael Bissonnette said the beer garden was "a great thing for downtown."
