Residents reminded to register for Dec. 8 special election

CHICOPEE Residents are reminded that Nov. 18 is the last day to register to vote or to report a change of name, address or party affiliation for the Dec. 8 special state primary to fill the seat of the late U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy. Chicopee office of the Registrars of Voters located in the City Hall Annex will be open until 8 p.m. on that day.

For those who cannot register in person, mail-in registration forms are available at all city libraries, at the Council on Aging and by calling Registrars of Voters at 594-1550 or sending e-mail to jsurdyka@chicopeema.gov.

Those registering to vote using mail-in registration forms must have their forms postmarked no later than Nov. 18.
