The ceremony took place at the Worcester Hotel and Conference Center on Nov. 1. Carey has had a distinguished career of over 30 years teaching geology and physics at East Longmeadow High School. He has become very well-known due to his authorship of four very useful field guides to the Connecticut River Valley and the adjacent Berkshire Mountains. Carey has received many awards for his work and is recognized as a true mentor and model to his students and colleagues. | ||||||
