| EAST LONGMEADOW Get ready for the 46th Annual Miss East Longmeadow Scholarship Pageant. Currently, the East Longmeadow Jaycees are seeking contestants for the 2006 Miss East Longmeadow Pageant. The Miss East Longmeadow Pageant Committee is already gearing up for the pageant to be held February 25, 2006. The Miss East Longmeadow Pageant is a preliminary competition to the Miss America Scholarship Pageant. There are many phases of competition which include a private interview with the judges, an on stage performance, formal and casual wear presentations and lifestyle and fitness in swim wear. The contestants will not only compete for the title of Miss East Longmeadow 2006, but for the scholarship awards that go along with the title. Last year over $11,000 in cash scholarships were awarded. The Miss East Longmeadow Scholarship Pageant is one of the nationwide leaders in scholarship awards. The committee is looking for nominations for young women between the ages of 17 and 24 to be contestants in the upcoming pageant. Contestants must be at least a high school senior.
