Families enjoy a dose of holiday fun at Squire Farm

Date: 12/15/2022

EAST LONGMEADOW – On Dec. 10, Squire Farm had its first ever Family Christmas Event. In partnership with Meraki Children’s Center Inc. and Macaroni Kid of Springfield, owner Josh Bailey and his wife Michela Paolucci – also one of the coordinators for the event – gave families a jam-packed holiday experience with hayrides around the tree fields, hot cocoa, story time, arts & crafts, letters to Santa and opportunities to shop around the farm’s local seasonal store.

“It’s an outdoor family fun experience,” Bailey and Paolucci said. “Coming outside, sitting in the field, taking a hayride and breathing in the fresh air.”

Squire Farm is a 28-acre Christmas tree farm with a variety of woodland and trails. It started back in the 1980s by Bailey’s late uncle and father. Now, it’s open annually during the Christmas season with beautiful, fresh, pre-cut trees sourced from Bailey, a third generation Christmas tree farmer.

“We have big dreams for the farm,” Paolucci and Bailey said. “Our goal is to get more kids on the property to experience the farm, walk around and experience nature especially during the holiday season.”
