| EAST LONGMEADOW To help incoming full-time kindergarten students become accustomed to the school lunch program, school officials are offering a free lunch to kindergarten students for the first two days of school. Officials feel that offering a school lunch at no charge will be an incentive for children to get used to the procedure. Getting in line, taking and eating the school lunch is quite an adventure for the youngsters. It is important to make the children feel as comfortable as possible right from the start. This is just one part of the orientation activities for our incoming Meadow Brook kindergarten students. |
