| The East Longmeadow Historical Commission will host its third annual fund-raising event in a booth at the Jaycees Carnival from June 29-July 3. Some of the donated raffle prizes include a gas grill donated by Byron-Hafey-Ratell Funeral Homes of Springfield and East Longmeadow, Doug Brega's signed print "Above Portland" with light frame and matting donated by J. H. Miller Picture Framing Co. of Springfield. Also a gift basket donated by WGBY Public Television for Western New England of Springfield. The basket includes video tapes and dvd of WGBY local productions and a years membership to the station. Dr. Bazin of Bazin Chiropractic Office of East Longmeadow has donated iTunes Music Cards which you can enjoy on a PC or MAC and, of course, on your iPod. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six tickets for $5. All proceeds from this event will benefit improvements for the historical museum and improvements at the Library. Raffle winners will be announced on July 4 after the parade in front of the historical museum at 87 Maple St. Winners need not be present and will be notified by phone. |
