John Kelly (left) and Matt Foley (right) the co-captains of the East Longmeadow High School golf team, unveiled the new golf trophy case at the high school dedicated to the memory of Stephen Hawkins Jr. Hawkins, who died last fall, was a member of the East Longmeadow golf team that won the 1983 State Championship. His former coach, Robert Mazzariello, and Hawkins' father recalled Hawkin's dedication to the game of golf and his love of East Longmeadow High School. Mazzariello told the friends, family and school personnel gathered for the dedication last week that, after consulting with Hawkin's father, the memorial trophy case was "the right thing to do. It was a perfect fit."
