EAST LONGMEADOW It's Girl Scout Cookie time again, and to kick off the annual sale Jeff Brown, owner of JB's Ice Cream on North Main St., is gearing up with a selection of ice cream flavors, all made with Girl Scout cookies.

He'll also be offering all Girl Scouts and their friends the opportunity to scoop up a specially-sized cone of his ice cream flavors with Girl Scout cookies for just $1 through Jan. 13

"It's something we've been doing for 12 years," Brown told Reminder Publications about both the ice cream flavors and the specially priced cones.

This year his shop will offer a trio of popular flavors featuring Girl Scout cookies -- Carmel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties and Thin Mint -- in cones, hand-packed quarts and ice cream cakes. The cookies used to produce the ice cream flavors are provided by the Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts.

JB's ice creams with Girl Scout cookies will be available through March 23, according to Brown.

According to the Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts, scouts will be taking cookie orders through Feb. 1, with delivery between Feb. 25 and March 31.

Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts serves over 17,000 girls in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, Berkshire and Worcester counties.
