 The Holyoke Credit Union awarded two $500 college scholarships as a part of its Renzo "Patch" Peccioli Memorial Scholarship, named in memory of one of HCU's longtime Board  members, at a recent ceremony at HCU'S main branch at 490 Westfield Road. Christopher Kalmbach of East Longmeadow, was on hand to receive his scholarship from Peccioli's wife Jo Peccioli, her daughter Penny  Copplestone, son-in-law Barry Copplestone and granddaughter Samantha  Copplestone. Gerard A. Cantin, first vice chairman and President Mike Murphy represented the Credit Union. Kalmbach is the son of Carol and  Michael Kalmbach, HCU members since 1982. "This scholarship is a great head start for my education at UMass,"  said Kalmbach, who will attend University of Massachusetts Commonwealth College in the fall. Kimberlee West, of Holyoke, was unable to attend the ceremony for her  scholarship. "My husband would have been very proud to have this scholarship in  his name. He took his role at the Credit Union very seriously," said  Peccioli. "I am thrilled to  be  a part of helping these two  excellent students with their college careers."2006 is the sixth year of HCU's Scholarship program and the first as  a memorial to  Peccioli.
