Simone's moves to East Longmeadow

EAST LONGMEADOW As of May 3, Simone's of Sumner Avenue will relocate to East Meadow Shops to fill the beloved Wild Apples restaurant location.

"My first job was at Wild Apples," said Simone's owner Erick Smith. "It's kind- of like going back home for me."

Steven Graziano had positive things to say about Simone's arrival. As owner of the East Meadow Shops, he told Reminder Publications that he is very pleased to be able to have Smith in the location.

"We're excited because he has excellent cuisine. He's looking forward to expanding into having a full lunch and dinner menu," said Graziano, adding that Smith is an excellent chef who went to culinary school in Rhode Island.

Offering Nouveau American cuisine, Smith said they will also offer lighter fair.

"I think we're going to do some really good things there. [Wild Apples] was a great restaurant," Smith added. "We're going to make [the space] our own. I think its going to be a good spot for us."

Graziano also said that East Meadow Shops is 100 percent full.

"Spa Europa will be expanding with a full service salon and specialty store," said Graziano. He addded that Spa Europa's expansion will utilize the area that had once been ElleN's.
