| EAST LONGMEADOW Through a grant, the East Longmeadow Fire Department was able to purchase 700 smoke detectors, 350 carbon monoxide detectors, and 1,000 light sticks. These will be distributed to East Longmeadow Senior Citizens who are homeowners, on a first-come first-served basis. Senior Citizens who are homeowners aged 60 or older are eligible. The detectors and light sticks will be given out on April 25, and May 2 at the East Longmeadow Fire Department, 150 Somers Road, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Members of the East Longmeadow TRIAD will be there to check people in and Fire Department personnel will be on hand to answer any questions regarding installation of the detectors. |
