Starship prepares for take-off

The East Longmeadow Public Library announces Starship Adventure @ Your Library, the summer reading and read-to-me program. Register anytime between now and July 31. Children of all ages are welcome!

This year participants will register online. Simply go to the library's Web site, www.eastlongmeadowma.gov, then click on Starship Adventure 2009 Summer Reading Program, or go to the blog at libraryleroy.blogspot.com. Then come in and receive your raffle number and a reading club kit that will contain a reading game-board and activity guide with all instructions, as well as a bookmark and a list of raffle prizes.

If you prefer to come in to register, we will help you and give you a raffle number and reading program kit (which will contain a game-board and program guide).

We encourage both readers and children who need to be read to stop by the library to visit and check out the terrific pick-your-own-prize raffle baskets that you could win! It's easy and we hope you will give it a whirl! For every hour that you either read independently or get read to you will earn one raffle ticket for the raffle. Prizes can be also be viewed online at www.readsinma.org/eastlongmeadow.

It's never too late to join, so come join the fun! Register and then come to the library whenever it is convenient for you. Then go to Mission Control to get your reading kit and raffle number.

Remember, any reading that was done since June 22 will count for raffle tickets and bonus prizes.
