EAST LONGMEADOW – Western Mass Lawn Greetings is giving residents in the area a creative and personalized way to celebrate any holiday or event.
According to owner Aubrie Leary, lawn signs are very common in the south. Leary comes from a large family and said that she was looking for a new way to celebrate. With the extreme success lawn signs have there, she decided to bring them here.
“We’ve always had birthdays all the time and so many other functions to celebrate. I was always kind of looking for different ways to celebrate the kids’ birthdays and try and do different things,” she said. “I just kind of dove right in and it’s been, honestly, awesome. I was nervous because I didn’t know how it was going to be received up here and I didn’t know of any other companies that ever really did it. I feel like East Longmeadow, Longmeadow, Wilbraham have all really jumped on board. I’ve done quite a few in those surrounding towns.”
Leary started the business in April. She works with a company in Kentucky that makes the signs and then she installs them onto customer’s yards for their celebration. She said that all of her products are made in the United States and the signs are personalized, trendy and fun.
“There’s honestly a lawn sign for every occasion, every season, Halloween, Christmas, Easter, they just keep coming up with new and exciting stuff,” said Leary.
Leary said that she has had great success with her business so far and that customers have even booked out as far as next year. Usually, Leary has customers who call one to two weeks before an event, but she has also accepted orders on the day of the event.
“It’s been really fun and I think the community has been really awesome about it. I was definitely nervous about how it was going to all play out, but I’m enjoying it thankfully,” she said.
The going rate for a lawn sign is $125, but Leary said that she also offers monthly deals and discounts on her social media page.
“I know that times are hard right now, so I do put out on my social media monthly deals,” she said. “I try to make it fun for everybody and something that a lot of people can jump on board with.”
Leary offers signs to residents across Western Massachusetts, usually within about a 16-mile radius from East Longmeadow. Anything over that distance will require an extra travel fee due to more time and gas, said Leary.
She encourages people to give her business a try due to her great customer service and unique product.
“It is a fun and unique way to celebrate any occasion. I can personalize any greeting with any colors or graphics or even emojis. My customer service, I like to say, is phenomenal. I come from a very large customer service background, so my customers are the most important thing to my business and I make sure that they are always taken care of. And I genuinely care about what I do so I think that shows in my product,” she said.
