|  | | Before taxes, this check included the $30,000 that was paid to Springfield School Superintendent Dr. Alan Ingram to compensate him for the differences in the cost of housing between Oklahoma City, Okla., and Springfield. The intent, according the School Committee member Antonette Pepe who supplied the photocopy of the check, was to give Ingram an incentive to buy a home in Springfield, which he did not. Ingram ended up resigning, effective June 2012.
