Number one in top ten wanted caught

HOLYOKE-There is one less suspect on Holyoke's "Ten Most Wanted List". A murder suspect who was number one on Holyoke's ten most wanted list, was found and taken into custody on March 9 by San Juan law enforcement officials in San Piedras, Puerto Rico.

Erik Sanabria of Holyoke, is suspected in connection with the September 8, 2005 murder of Armando Vergara. U.S Marshals had been searching for Sanabria, when he was captured and arrested on an outstanding fugitive warrant regarding the murder.

According to information released by the Holyoke Police Department, "The ensuing investigation by Holyoke Police Detectives, in conjunction with Mass. State Police Detectives assigned to the Hampden County District Attorney's Office developed information that Erik Sanabria was a suspect in the homicide and that he fled from Western Massachusetts. The U.S Marshals have been pursuing Sanabria and he was ultimately taken into custody."

Sanabria is also facing charges in Puerto Rico of "Conspiracy to Commit Murder".

Now appearing on the number one spot on the cities most wanted list is Wilson Cruz Pagan, a 26-year-old Caucasian male who is being sought on: two counts of possessing a firearm (including a sawed-off shotgun) without a license; drug dealing within 1,000 feet of a school; possession and possession with intent to distribute a Class A controlled substance; conspiracy to violate drug laws; trespassing; and breaking and entering in the nighttime felony.
