Show benefits medical center

HOLYOKE Tickets are now on sale for "Starstruck!," an original musical comedy variety show to be performed on Saturday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 1 at 2 p.m. at Holyoke High School. Written as a spoof on the popular "American Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars," singers, dancers, musicians and a host of characters will perform in front of a panel of judges that will be sure to keep the audience in stitches (no pun intended).

Directed by Dan Derby and starring a host of talented performers from bird callers to step dancers, theater goers will experience Holyoke's version of reality TV.

Who will be the winner of the grand prize? The audience will be the ultimate judge, so mark your calendar and be ready for some great entertainment and cast your vote! Prices are: general seating, $15, preferred seating $25, seniors (65 and older), children and students $10 each (with ID). Tickets may be purchased in advance and will be sold at the door, space permitting. Proceeds from Starstruck! will be used for medical center renovations.

If you would like to make your "Starstruck!" experience even more enjoyable, consider a dinner or brunch and a show option with the Yankee Pedlar. The dinner and show option for Saturday evening's performance will begin at the Pedlar's Garden Room with your choice of Chicken Francaise, broiled salmon or sliced sirloin of beef, salad, rolls, vegetables and chocolate mousse for dessert. There will be a cash bar. The $50 per person price is inclusive and includes preferred seating at the High School.

For those coming to the show on Sunday, brunch will be served in the Pedlar's beautiful Opera House at 12:15 p.m. and includes assorted pastries and fruit, Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chicken marsala, salad, vegetables and apple crisp with Whipped Cream for dessert. This option is priced at $40 per person and also includes preferred seating. Seating at the Pedlar is limited, so make your reservations now!
