Board of Health announces flu clinic

LONGMEADOW The Longmeadow Board of Health will conduct a Flu Clinic on Nov. 9, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at The Greenwood Center (gym), 231 Maple Road, Longmeadow.

This clinic is open to Longmeadow residents only who are 65 years of age or over or residents of any age who have chronic medical conditions. Pregnant women and individuals who are diabetics, who have asthma, cardiac, lung, or kidney diseases or have any other medical condition which suppresses immunity and are high risk for complications related to flu are eligible and are encouraged to be immunized at this clinic. Caregivers of frail elderly or high-risk individuals are also eligible.

The flu shots are free for individuals that have Medicare B; Medicare B insurees should bring their Medicare card as well as supplemental insurance cards to the clinic. The charge for all others is $3.

No advanced reservation is required.
