Board of Health announces final flu clinic

LONGMEADOW The Longmeadow Board of Health will be scheduling its final flu clinic of the year on Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at the nurse's room, Greenwood Center. Longmeadow residents who meet one or more of the following criteria are eligible to receive a flu shot at this clinic:

Individuals 65 years of age or older

Individuals 18 years of age or older that have chronic illnesses tht put them at high risk for complications from the flu

Pregnant women

*Care givers of high-risk individuals such as the elderly or infants under 6 months of age.

There is no fee for individuals who are enrolled in Medicare, Part B Insurance. Individuals insured by Medicare B are requested to bring their Medicare and supplemental insurance cards to the Clinic in order to facilitate Medicare reimbursement.

The fee for all other high-risk individuals not insured by Medicare B is $3.

Pre-registration for this clinic is required by Dec. 2. Reservations may be made by calling the Longmeadow Board of Health at 565-4140.
