On Dec. 27, at Court Square in Springfield, there was a menorah lighting sponsored by Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy. Rabbi Noach Kosofsky, Principal of Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy (LYA) in Longmeadow, and Springfield Mayor Charlie Ryan, lit the menorah at Court Square for the third night of Chanukah. Also present for the lighting were Rabbi Yisroel Edelman, Rabbi Chaim Kosofsky, Senator Brian Lees, and Springfield City Councilor Dominic Sarno.
