By Natasha Clark Reminder Assistant Editor LONGMEADOW Robin Crosbie has just completed her first year as Longmeadow's first Town Manager. Crosbie was recently evaluated by the Select Board and received positive feedback on her performance thus far. "We are in agreement that she's done a credible job in her first year," said Select Board Vice-Chair Kathleen Grady. "She's worked very hard and she's gotten excellent results." Grady said Crosbie has lead a number of initiatives including bringing boards and staff together. "She's excelled in financial management and the Department of Public Works," Grady added, noting her excellent handling of court orders from the Department of Environmental Protection, as well. Before Crosbie came to Longmeadow she was the Town Administrator in Hadley, MA. Prior to joining on in Hadley in the late 80s, Crosbie held the title Administrative Assistant in Deerfield, MA, after working as Community Relations Coordinator in Colorado, where she also did Management Internships in the cities of Westminister and Denver. "I was really pleased that the board is satisfied with my performance," Crosbie said. "It's been a great year working with them. The town's fortunate to have such a quality of people on their Select Board. I look forward to the coming year." When asked what she hopes to conquer during her second year, Crosbie said she sometimes thinks there are so many things that it can be hard to choose where to avert her attention to next. But of the many items she would like to work on next, she listed updating personnel policies, a feasibility study for the town buildings and a needs assessment survey, and looking at the water and sewer department as just some of the things she wants to focus on. "There's still a lot of work ahead," Crosbie said. |
