On Feb. 14, 14 first grade Brownies from Longmeadow Girl Scout Troop 129 and five seventh and eighth grade Cadettes from Longmeadow Girl Scout Troop 176 visited the Redstone rehabilitation center in East Longmeadow. The girls had made cards, wooden decorated hearts and home-made goodies to distribute to the residents. With Tracey from the activities department at Redstone, and their leader, Kris Houghton, the girls went room to room to distribute their gifts of Valentine's Day love. They stopped a number of times to sing songs for the residents. The residents expressed their appreciation for the company of the girls as well as their thoughtful gifts and some hugs, too.
