Library announces May events

LONGMEADOW During the week of May 22, Sondra Lewis from Music Together will conduct two programs at the Storrs Library. The first will be held on May 24, at 4 p.m. for children aged one month to five years. The second program will be on May 26, from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.. They will both feature songs, music, and dance to promote children's' musical and movement development. Tickets are free and are available one week before the program. Visit the Philip Michael Lauro II Discovery Room at the Storrs Library or call 565-4182 to reserve your tickets.

The Youth Service Department of the Philip Michael Lauro II Discovery Room at the Storrs Library will host a meeting on May 25, from 4 to 5 for teens and tweens grade six through high school for T.A.G. our Teen Advisory Group. The Discovery Room is looking for youth volunteers to become a part of this group, which meets on a monthly basis. Register by calling the Discovery Room at 565-4182.

Cuddle up with a favorite blanket, a teddy, and a good book on May 24, at the Storrs Library in Longmeadow. Children 3 to 7 years and their parents may attend from 7 to 7:30 p.m. This relaxing program will consist of stories amd restful songs. Children are encouraged to come in their pajamas.
