Register for Storytime series at Storrs

A five-week series of children's programming will begin Feb. 3, at the Storrs Library, 693 Longmeadow St.

On Jan. 26, at 10 a.m., the Philip Michael Lauro II, Discovery Room will accept walk-in registrations at the library for a new series of children's early literacy programs. They are planned to meet the needs of children who are between the ages of 24 months to six years. Two Kinder Kids sessions will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the afternoon for children who are 4 to six years of age. Registration is required only for the 10 a.m. session. The new 1 p.m. Kinder Kids will be a special drop in program with no advance registration. Both will begin on Feb. 3, and continue until March 10.

There will also be two separate Storytime sessions on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. and Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. for children who are three years one month to four years six months of age. The Thursday early literacy programs will begin Feb. 5, and continue until March 12. Sessions are limited to 20 children each.

Registrations by phone will be accepted after 11 a.m. for all programs. Children living outside the town of Longmeadow may register Jan. 27, after 10 a.m.
