LONGMEADOW – It’s not a celebration without ice cream. Dave LeRiche and Deb LeRiche, the owners of Batch Ice Cream, celebrated their new brick-and-mortar location at the Longmeadow Shops, 690 Bliss Rd., with ice cream, family, friends and state Rep. Brian Ashe, who presented them with a proclamation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Batch, a natural ice cream company that prides itself on simple ingredients, has been running food trucks for three years and the trucks will still be providing mobile catering.
“We have great support,” Dave said of the town and its people. “We’ve built up a really nice following.” He said people were literally pulling at the doors to get in in the weeks before they were open. Batch’s hours are 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
