Town Election set for June 6

LONGMEADOW Town boards and committees will host several meetings and hearings in the next several weeks. The Annual Town Election has also been announced.



Annual Town Election



Longmeadow's Annual Town Election will be held June 6. All precincts will vote in the Community House starting at 8 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.

The last day to register to vote in the Annual Town Election was May 17.

Absentee ballots are available in the Town Clerk's office for the June 6 Annual Town Election. Applications will be taken until noon June 5.

The public test scheduled for May 24 for the June election has been changed to May 30 at 2:30 p.m. in the Town Hall.



Board of Assessors



Longmeadow's Board of Assessors will meet on July 17 at 7p.m. at the Fire Station Community Room.



Conservation Commission



A meeting for the Longmeadow Conservation Commission will be held

June 14 at 7:30p.m. in the Conference Room at the Longmeadow Police Station, 34 Williams St.



Board of Health



The Board of Health will hold a Public Hearing on May 31, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in the Longmeadow Fire Dept Community Meeting Room, 44 Williams Street.



Longmeadow Audit Committee



They will meet June 7 at 7 p.m. in the Fire Dept. Meeting Room.



Longmeadow Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals

The boards will hold a joint public hearing on June 6 at 7:30p.m. at the Longmeadow Police Department Community Room, 34 Williams Street.



Recycling Reminder



A reminder that the recycling stiuckers can be purchased by mail. The fee is $30 and $20 for seniors over 65. A second sticker in the same household will be $5. Please send a copy of the registration for the vehicles to be used, a check for the fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Town of Longmeadow, 20 Williams St., Longmeadow, MA 01106.



Dog Licenses



Licenses may be purchased by mail. The fees are $10 for spayed or neutered and $20 if they are not.
