| SOUTH HADLEY The South Hadley Lions Club awarded the following $500 scholarships to recent graduates of South Hadley High School: Alish McCoullough of Lauri Avenue, Andrew LaBombard of Martin Street, Stacey Desforges of East Street, Erica Biermeister of South Sycamore Knolls and Nathan Provost of Garden Street. Andrew Vautrin received the $1,000 Landers Scholarship which will continue for the four years he attends college. Other recent Landers Scholarship winners were Tiffany Kirk class of 2002, Kyle Cloutier 2003 and Robert Wallace 2004. Funds to provide these scholarships were raised through the Lions Club Annual Benefit Scholarship Raffle. After awarding 32 prizes totaling $12,000 funds are set aside for future scholarships. This is one of the many ways that the South Hadley Lions Club upholds their motto of "We Serve" within the community of South Hadley. |
