Acres Pride station will change to 24-hour schedule

SPRINGFIELD Pride Gas Station on the corner of Parker Street and Wilbraham Road will soon have a new addition.

Pam Mastrioni, of Pride, told Reminder Publications the addition will double the space. The location has also added more gas pumps and was recently newly paved. It will also now be opened 24 hours a day. The addition will border the soon-to-be People's Bank that is being constructed.

This is just one of several new projects going on in Sixteen Acres. The defunct Super 1 Stop Liquor Discount store, two buildings down from Pride, was recently knocked down, and as Reminder Publications reported a few months ago, the old Big Y site on Wilbraham Road (across from Pride), will open in seven or eight months as "Fresh Acres Market."

Mastrioni said this Pride location will be the first of its kind.
