City announces $200K for community center

SPRINGFIELD Thanks to the efforts of many, the defunct Greenleaf Community Center on Parker Street may have revitalization in its future.

Director of the Springfield Park Department Patrick Sullivan verified that Springfield has been allocated $200,000 for the Greenleaf project.

On July 28 at 11 a.m., Sullivan and 16 Acres Civic Association President Clodo Concepcion will make an official announcement to the public and talk about the preliminary steps involving the project.

Residents are encouraged to attend to learn about the future of the community center.
