| SPRINGFIELD The Italian Cultural Center of Western Massachusetts, Inc. will hold a reception on Sept. 12 at Scibelli Hall, seventh floor, Springfield Technical Community College announcing this year's four 2006 Serviam Award recipients. Refreshments will be served. The reception for relatives, ICC members and friends will begin at 5:30 p.m. This year's recipients are Springfield residents Sylvia Forastiere, Frances Benoit and Alfred Zanetti. Retired Judge Rudolph Sacco of Washington, Massachusetts is also a recipient. "All have given freely and tirelessly of their time for the good of their communities and have a long history of volunteering and generosity toward the welfare of those in need. They continue to promote Italian heritage and culture and we are proud to award each of them this high honor," said ICC president Anna Zaccheo. All ICC members are invited to attend the reception and the general business meeting at 6:30 p.m. that will follow. |
