Rotary Club supports Habitat for Humanity
The Springfield Rotary Club's Service Fund recently awarded $1,500 to Jennifer E. Schimmel, Executive Director of Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity. The funds will be used towards the purchase of two new computers and an updated version of Quickbooks, which will enable the all volunteer accounting department to more accurately and efficiently track revenues and expenses.
Presenting the check to Schimmel is Sue Lavoie, chair of the Service Fund, and Springfield Rotary Club President Jim Russell. The Rotary Club's Service Fund provides grants for educational and charitable projects throughout the community.
