Students get a taste of Hollywood

Western New England College has launched a new partnership with the Northampton Independent Film Festival (NIFF), one of the premier cultural events in New England. Through the partnership, three Western New England College students will spend the summer serving as interns under the direction of NIFF Director David L. Leo, gaining real-life experience in what it takes to organize a major independent film festival. The students selected for this unique opportunity are junior Andrew Barker of Monson, MA; junior Adam Ransom of East Hartland, CT; and senior Nathaniel Read of Westborough, MA.Seen here are (from left to right) Western New England College Director of Career Services Wil Lemire, Northampton Independent Film Festival Director David Leo, Adam Ransom, Nathaniel Read, WGBY TV General Manager Russell Peotter, Andrew Barker, and Western New England College Director of College Relations Brenda Garton.
