WEST SPRINGFIELD — Jeremiah Jay Salamon, 35, of 198 Chilson Rd., pleaded guilty in federal court last week to charges of advertising, distributing and possessing child pornography. Salamon could receive more than 19 years in federal prison and 15 years of supervised release when sentenced on April 11.

Evidence collected against Salamon included 313 files of child pornography, which were downloaded by an undercover FBI agent from Salamon's a file-sharing alias, "like22look." The FBI also seized thousands of images and videos of child pornography from Salamon's basement room in the West Springfield house he shared with his parents on July 30.

Salamon is currently in the custody of United States Marshals at an undisclosed location, according to Christina DiIorio-Sterling of the U.S. Department of Justice. "Once sentenced, the Bureau of Prisons will determine where he will serve," she noted.

According to court documents, Salamon posted the following advertising his files, "Welcome & Enjoy!! We are all here for the same thing. lol I share EVERYTHING I have, and I ask that you do the same for me. If you have nothing to share, I WILL DELETE YOU!! Ask me before you share my name and DO NOT put me on any lists. I constantly organize my files ... Please do the same with yours."

Salamon, according to information released by the Department of Justice, knowingly sought to exchange pornographic files containing "files that depicted the rape and sexual torture of very young children."

Salamon will appear before U.S. District Judge Michael A. Ponsor for sentencing on April 11.
