"It is an annual elders nutrition party," said Lisa Lovell the nutrition director for elders in the WestMass ElderCare program(WMEC). "We had 280 elders attend the event it was really good. It was about the same attendance as last year. We will have a holiday party in December."

The program encompasses seniors from Holyoke, Chicopee, Granby, Belchertown, Ware, Ludlow and South Hadley. It provides congregate and home delivery of meals to the seniors.

"The meals are one third of their daily vitamin allowance," Lovell said.
