WILBRAHAM With another School Committee meeting comes another discussion of the budget.

At the Jan. 23, Hampden Wilbraham Regional School Committee meeting Superintendent Dr. Paul Gagliarducci discussed current issues with the budget and a preview of what will be presented at the next few meetings.

"We are working to stay within the guidelines presented by the towns," Gagliarducci explained.

Gagliarducci added that discretion is being used in buying new textbooks along with other supplies and investing in new technologies.

"You can expect a draft of the budget sometime around the next meeting," Gagliarducci said. "A full discussion of the budget is scheduled for the Feb. 27 meeting."

Committee member Peter Salerno spoke more about the subcommittee that he is forming to work on the policies of the district.

"There are some ambiguities in the current policies," Salerno said. "We would like to suggest or modify the change in school policy."
