Q&A with author of So Yesterday

Just for fun, Reminder Publications asked Westerfeld to participate in some Q & A. Read his reponses below.

(Reminder Publications) If you were trapped on a desert island and could bring one book, what would it be?

(Scott Westerfeld) Probably a first-aid book.

(RP) One book you're very proud of completing?

(SW) Most proud of Peeps right now. I guess because it's my current baby.

(RP) [Blank] is the number of novels you've finished that have never been published?

(SW) None.

(RP) Are there any embarrassing things you do when you write?

(SW) I sometimes act out gestures to see what people really do when they react to things. Like, I'll run through five or six ways of looking surprised, just to get it right. In coffee shops, this can look weird.

(RP) Do you have a writing routine/ritual?

(SW) Four hours a day, after coffee.

(RP) What is the strangest thing one of your fans ever said, sent or gave you?

(SW) A fan read one of my books in a B&N coffee shop and then put it back on the shelf without paying for it. So he sent me a money order for five bucks [which is] about three times my usual royalties for that particular book.
