Chamber gears up for fall golf tournament

The Hampden/Wilbraham Chamber of Commerce will host a Golf Tournament at the Country Club of Wilbraham on Oct. 5.

The tournament will have a free Golf Clinic fantastic goodie bags for all players delicious lunch $5,000 putting contest chance to win a new automobile outstanding raffle prizes cocktail reception and knowing you are helping local high school children. Proceeds from this tournament will assist in funding the Minnechaug Regional High School Entrepreneurial Program, teaching our children the foundation of what it takes to become an entrepreneur. In collaboration with Springfield Technical Community College's Entrepreneurial Institute, the Public School Systems of Western Massachusetts and the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), Minnechaug Regional High School students have the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to start and maintain a small business. The Youth Entrepreneurial Scholars (Y.E.S.) program is designed to instill academic and entrepreneurial understanding in the lives of high school students, including students at Minnechaug Regional High School.

We hope you will participate in this worthy tournament, as we support our Hampden/Wilbraham Chamber members and business leaders of tomorrow.

Schedule of Events:

10 11 a.m., registration

10:30 a.m., Golf Clinic/Driving Range

11 a.m., Lunch

12 p.m., Shotgun Start

5:30 p.m., Hors D'oeuvres and Cocktail Reception (Raffle following).

There will also be sponsorship opportunities. Those offered are as follows:

Eagle: $800 Includes a foursome, a tee, a green, a company banner displayed at the event, an acknowledgment in the program listing and company logo displayed in the mailing (when purchased by Aug. 10).

Birdie: $600 Includes a foursome, tee, green and acknowledgment in the program listing.

Par: $400 Includes a twosome, a tee or green sign and acknowledgment in the program listing.

The $120 package includes a tee or green sign and acknowledgment in the program listing.
